For the natural cause, such as an animal or another plant species, this can be fatal, but for the perfumer, this resin is more precious than gold. An ode to Oud!

Camille Chemardin

Camille Chemardin groeide op in Lyon en raakte al jong gefascineerd door parfum. De flacons van haar moeder en grootvader wekten een nieuwsgierigheid die haar nooit meer losliet. Op tienjarige leeftijd bezocht ze het Fragonard-parfummuseum in Grasse – het moment waarop alles begon.
Ze studeerde aan de École Supérieure du Parfum in Parijs en liep stages bij gerenommeerde huizen als Givaudan, Firmenich en Robertet. Tijdens een van die stages ontmoette ze parfumeurs Amélie Bourgeois en Anne-Sophie Behaghel, oprichters van creatief parfumlaboratorium Flair in Parijs. Inmiddels werkt Camille daar als parfumeur aan uiteenlopende projecten voor onafhankelijke merken.Camille’s stijl is intuïtief en eigentijds. Ze houdt van contrast – zoals het combineren van sensuele tuberoos met heldere noten als gember en jeneverbes. Haar parfums voelen aan als een tweede huid: intiem, persoonlijk en altijd met een verhaal.
Duurzaamheid speelt voor haar een belangrijke rol. Ze gelooft in groene chemie, transparante formules en parfums die passen bij deze tijd – zonder in te leveren op zeggingskracht.

Usage advice

Apply Un Oud by Obvious to pulse points. For example, on the inside of your elbows and the backs of your knees, or on your wrists and neck. Spray into the air once or twice with this bottle and walk through the resulting cloud of perfume to fragrance your hair. Hair is a good carrier of perfume; it holds the scent very well. Feel free to reapply this perfume throughout the day, depending on your mood.
